Legal Contract
You are entering into an agreement with Dublin Port Company (DPC) for car parking with respect to specified cruise services at or in the vicinity of Dublin Port estate for the Parking Period confirmed in the online car park reservation process, comprising a series of calendar days or part thereof on the dates as set out in your Reservation Confirmation Email. The date of the agreement is the date and time of confirmation of the booking as contained in the Reservation Confirmation Email sent to the email address provided by you when making the reservation and confirmed by you during the online reservation process on the Dublin Port Company website.
Nothing in these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights.
DPC reserves the right to change and update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
Subject to the Terms and Conditions, DPC can vary or withdraw any services or offers without notice.
Parties and nature of these Terms and Conditions
1.1. In these Terms and Conditions any reference to “DPC” is to Dublin Port Company whose registered office is at Port Centre, Alexandra Road, Dublin 1, D01H4C6, Ireland. (Registered No. 262367).
1.2. Any reference to “you” and “your” refers to any person who is deemed by DPC to have made a car park reservation.
1.3. All references to “Dublin Port” in this document shall be deemed to mean Dublin Port estate.
1.4. The term “Car Parking Areas” means the specific areas at Dublin Port as may be designated from time to time for car parking by DPC.
1.5. The term “Parking Period” means the period of car parking required comprising a series of calendar days or part thereof as described in the online reservation service.
1.6. The term “Reservation Confirmation Email” means the email sent to you by DPC confirming all details of the reservation once details have been received in full by DPC.
1.7. The term “Reservation Reference Number” means the unique number assigned to your car park reservation and contained in the Reservation Confirmation Email sent to you by DPC. This number should be retained safely as it will be necessary for any further communication with DPC regarding the reservation.
1.8. These Terms and Conditions shall apply to all reservations for car parking at Dublin Port made electronically through the DPC website.
1.9. Each confirmed reservation as detailed in the Reservation Confirmation Email shall constitute an agreement between you and DPC. This agreement will be at all times governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Ireland.
Car Park Reservation and Payment – General
2.1. A car park reservation is deemed to have been placed when made electronically through the DPC website. Payment for the reservation must be made for your parking on arrival to the designated car park at Dublin Port with a valid debit / credit card. No cash is accepted at the car park. DPC reserves the right not to fulfil your reservation if the payment method has not been successfully made on arrival to the car park.
2.2 Reservations made less than 3 hours in advance of your car park entry time and date will not be accepted.
2.3. The minimum reservation period required is 24 hours.
2.4 All prices quoted are in Euro and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate – currently 23% VAT (from 1st January 2020). Cruise Parking costs €10 per day or part thereof. The total cost of the parking will depend on the length of the cruise.
2.5 DPC reserves the right not to accept a reservation if it is incomplete in any way.
2.6 Access to the car parking facilities is limited to specified cruise passengers. In the event that you are not a cruise passenger, your reservation will be cancelled by DPC.
Car Park Reservation
3.1 Provided you satisfactorily complete the reservation form and parking capacity is available for the times, dates and car park specified you will receive a Reservation Confirmation E-mail which will contain your unique Reservation Reference Number from DPC.
3.2 Your reservation is non-transferable either from you to another party or between different car parks.
3.3 Reservations will be deemed to have been accepted by you upon receipt by you of your Reservation Reference Number.
3.4 The reservation details and Reservation Reference Number contained in the DPC Reservation Confirmation Email is only valid for:

At the Euro price shown
For car parking at the specified car park at Dublin Port during the stated Parking Period, subject to these Terms and Conditions and the Dublin Port Bye-Laws (set out below).
3.5 Use of the car parks at Dublin Port is at all times subject to the terms and conditions of use which are listed in the Dublin Port Bye-Laws on our website:

Car Park Entry and Exit
4.1 If your car park entry and exit times change from that specified in your Reservation Confirmation Email as a result of a change in departure date/time of the vessel you are boarding your reservation will be honoured for the duration of the cruise sailing.
4.2 It is important that upon your arrival at Dublin Port to commence the Parking Period and again upon your return to the car park at the end of the Parking Period that you:
- Have your Reservation Confirmation Email or your Reservation Reference Number to hand
- On arrival you must pay for the car parking reservation with a valid debit / credit card. No cash is accepted at the car park under any circumstances.
- Use the vehicle with the licence plate specified in your reservation, ensuring that the licence plate is clean, undamaged and not obscured in any way
- Use the car park designated in your Reservation Confirmation Email. The reservation will not be valid at any other Dublin Port car park
- Follow all the instructions contained in the Reservation Confirmation Email
- Please park in area as directed by DPC Harbour Police/Port Security or cruise stewards on arrival to the car park
- Please follow all directions of DPC Harbour Police/Port Security or cruise stewards on arrival to car park or exit from the car park
- Please follow all designated pathways from car park to the coach area
- Please ensure your car will be kept stationary by applying handbrake/place car in gear as normal
- Please ensure that your car alarm has no faults likely to lead to a faulty trigger
- You are at all times responsible for ensuring that you allow sufficient time for car parking relating to any onward journey and travel arrangements
Cancellations or amendments to reservations for Car Parking
5.1 Should you wish to cancel your reservation or any part thereof you should do so by emailing parking@dublinport.ie You will require your vehicle licence plate number, unique Reservation Reference Number and email address you used to make your booking in order to cancel your reservation. DPC must receive notice of your requested changes at least 6 hours before the stated commencement time and date of the parking period. Please see clause 5.7 for details on refunds.
5.2 If you wish to amend your reservation then you should do so by emailing parking@dublinport.ie You will require your vehicle licence plate number, unique Reservation Reference Number and email address you used to make your reservation in order to amend your reservation. DPC must receive notice of your requested changes at least 6 hours before the stated commencement time and date of the parking period.
5.3 Should you decide to extend your online reservation this will be treated as a new reservation and will be subject to availability. The new reservation will be based on car park availability and applicable charges for that time. The charges may not be on the same terms as offered when the initial reservation was made. To extend your reservation please email: parking@dublinport.ie with your vehicle licence plate number and original parking period details.
5.4 No refunds will be made other than in the circumstances expressly provided for in these Terms and Conditions at Sections 5.1, 5.5, 5.7 and 8 specifically.
5.5 With respect to cancellations, no refund will be made if a reservation has not been cancelled in accordance with the procedures set out in 5.1.
5.6 Refunds will only be made via the debit / credit card used on arrival at Dublin Port. Refunds will only be made on condition upon receipt of an email to parking@dublinport.ie with the following details enclosed:
- Reservation Reference Number
- Arrival date & time
- Departure date & time
- Fee charged
- Vehicle registration number used to make the reservation
- Daytime telephone number
5.7 If DPC cancels your reservation for a reason within its direct control, and/ or a planning refusal and/or planning enforcement notice and not due to a force majeure event (see Section 6) then DPC will notify you via an email from parking@dublinport.ie. In the event of a cancellation DPC will have no responsibility for additional charges that may be incurred in you making alternative car parking or transport arrangements
5.8 In cases where reservations have been made and paid for in foreign currency and are subsequently amended or cancelled leading to a refund being payable by DPC, DPC will only refund the Euro amount due and will accept no responsibility for any gains or losses arising from movements in foreign exchange rates or for any associated card charges occurring between the date of the reservation and the date of the refund.
5.9 In the event that your reservation is cancelled or amended you will receive formal notification of the cancellation or amendment by email sent to the email address provided during the reservation procedure. Where appropriate a new Reservation Reference Number will also be issued.
Force majeure
DPC shall not be liable for any cancellation, curtailment or otherwise caused by reason of war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural disaster, nuclear disaster fire, adverse weather conditions or technical problems to closure or congestion of Roads, airports or ports, cancellation or changes of schedules by cruise liners, shipping companies and all similar events beyond its control – DPC cannot accept responsibility where the performance or prompt performance of this agreement with you is prevented or affected as a result of such circumstances beyond DPC’s or your control.
Dublin Port Company’s liability
7.1 You should be advised that the car parking areas are the private property of DPC. DPC offers no warranty or indemnity as to the protection or safety of the vehicles left in the car parking areas or any goods left within the vehicles. The use of the car parking areas, and the use of any services provided by a third party in the car parking areas, is entirely at your own risk. DPC, its servants and agents accept no liability in respect of:
- a) any loss, destruction, damage or theft of or from the vehicle or the contents of the vehicle; or
(b) subject to clause 7.2, death or personal injury sustained by you and/or other person.
7.2 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits the liability of DPC for:
(a) death or personal injury caused by DPC’s negligence;
(b) any matter for which it would be illegal for DPC to exclude or attempt to exclude its liability; or
(c) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
DPC’s right to cancel or provide alternative Car Parking areas
DPC reserves the right if prevented from supplying the car parking for any reason to cancel the contract or provide an equivalent alternative car parking area. In the event of such circumstances DPC will use its best endeavours to provide as much notice to the customer as possible and in the event of cancellation of the contract by DPC becoming necessary, DPC will notify the customer by email and will not be responsible for any other costs, which you may incur as a result.
Severability
If any of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall be declared invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part by any competent Court or other authority whose decisions shall have the force of law binding on the parties, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Privacy policy
DPC shall process personal details it may obtain from you in connection with your car parking reservation in accordance with its Privacy Policy
Entire agreement
These Terms and Conditions and the Dublin Port By Laws constitute the entire agreement between you and DPC with respect to the provision of the relevant services.

To the fullest extent permitted at law,
- DPC expressly disclaims all and makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to this website or the information, content, materials or products included in this website including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
- DPC does not represent or warrant that the information accessible via this website is accurate, complete or current e.g. tariff and car park availability information is, prior to confirmation of reservation, subject to change without notice
- Subject to section 7.2 this is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.
