Dublin Port Greenway

The Greenway is ideal for the whole family. Whether it’s a cycle with the children, a leisurely stroll or a relaxing picnic in the sun, this Dublin amenity is sure to delight kids and grown-ups alike. Additionally, it is a great place to walk the dogs, with plenty of room for our four-legged friends to enjoy the sights and smells.

This new destination is also perfect for nature lovers. Visitors can hear calls of a wide variety of migratory birds that call the Port home throughout the year. This includes Brent Geese, Bar-Tailed Godwits, Common Terns and the even rarer Arctic Terns, who have been flying back and forth from the Port to Antarctica for over two decades now.  Discover more here

Distributed Museum

The ‘Distributed Museum’ is the working title of an initiative by Dublin Port to promote awareness and public engagement with physical elements of Port heritage and amenity assets of the Port.

The idea of a Distributed Museum can be integral to the concept of the Port-City integration outlined in the Port’s Conservation Strategy as a strategic planning framework embracing the heritage of the Port and its setting.

The Dublin Port Diving Bell and reconfigured and publicly accessible Pumphouse and Substation, represent visible testament to its commitment to celebrate and foster Port-City integration. Discover more here

Great South Wall

As one of Europe’s oldest and longest sea walls, the Great South Wall is a popular tourist attraction and one of Dublin’s most visited walks, welcoming over 300,000 visitors per year. Remarkably, the wall still stands in its original form, protecting the channel to Dublin Port and facilitating the safe passage of commercial shipping which accounts for at least 60% of Ireland’s imports.
