TEMPORARY CLOSURES IN PLACE FOR GREAT SOUTH WALL: 9th – 11th March 2021

Public Notice from Dublin Port Company

 

 

Due to forecasted high winds from tonight Tuesday 9th of March through to the early morning of  Thursday 11th of  March 2021 it will be necessary to close pedestrian access to the Great South Wall at the following dates and times:

Great South Wall

  • Tuesday 9th March: 19.00hrs to 01.00hrs Wednesday 10th March
  • Wednesday 10th March: 20.00hrs to 03.00hrs Thursday 11th March

 

Bull Island Bridge

There is no requirement to close Bull Island Bridge at this time.

The Great South Wall closure is due to tide height and dangerous winds on the exposed wall surface.

Delays to some shipping activity and pilotage services is likely, including possible delays at the port’s LOLO container terminals, i.e. where containers are loaded and unloaded by crane. Please contact the individual terminals direct to establish their status.
